All good things must come to end,
alhamdulillah ‘alā kulli hāl.
It’s been a great
mubarak couple of weeks with a fantastic bunch of Scholars, Muftis,
Tullāb al-‘Ilm,
‘Ālimahs and even one or two bankers who managed to get in as well. With the wonderful hospitality of
The Islamic Foundation and the generous if not hectic and intense organising by
1st Ethical, it was all in all a very valuable opportunity for us all to network and benefit each other.
As for the teachers then what can I say? I know that I speak on behalf of all the attendees (and only just to re-iterate what Shaykh Haitham al-Haddad did very well yesterday on behalf of us all at the final ceremony masha’Allah) that we are very grateful to all of you for coming down and giving us such benefit, and such excellent company over the course. Led by our esteemed
Sayyid, al-Samāhat’l-Shaykh Mufti Taqi al-Usmani, alongside his son Dr ‘Imran Usmani, his son-in-law Mufti Zubayr Usmani, Mufti Hassaan Kaleem, Dr Ahmed Siddiqui, and last but certainly not least Mufti Najeeb Khan (
hafidhahumullah).
Trust me: you’ve never met so many
Muftis in one room in your life. Everyone had titles except me and I started to feel a bit left out (as you do) and hence I made up my own:
Mustafti Abu Eesa.
;-)
Here are a few pictures of the last few weeks to give you a little flavour and maybe we can post some of the
fawā’id over the next week or so insha’Allah.
PS: My inbox is virtually dead so give me time folks. And all lessons are back to normal insha’Allah starting with Fiqh tomorrow at Cheadle and then
‘al-Adab al-Mufrad’ on Friday at 8.15pm
bi-ithnillah.PPS: Is it
really true that South Africa made
435 (like what the…!) runs to beat the Aussies?! Allahu Akbar! Or are you guys playing some Aprils Fools behaviour 3 weeks early…?
:-)

The wonderful Mufti Hassaan Kaleem. Watch out for this one folks, cos' he's going places masha'Allah...

Mufti Zubayr Usmani (right) and our very own Shaykh Mufti Yusuf Sacha join the Esteemed Mufti Taqi
"You see Mufti Saab, you type in the number and then you press this green button and then it calls the other number like see?"
No this isn't a bad picture but just Shaykh Haytham legging it around the room making a collection for the teachers. Mufti Sulayman from Leicester watches on in amusement as Shaykh 'Abdul Qayyum from East London Mosque tries to find some of that stuff "that don't jingle."

Mufti "Ajeeb" Khan taking a time-out. Actually guys, did he ever take a 'time-in'??

Mufti Taqi listens intently as he makes
Qadha between myself and Shaykh Haytham on the 'Mobile-Phone Cashback' controversy...

Every
majlis has a light and our light (and entertainment) during our stay was the wonderful Shaykh Abu Ahmed from al-Baseerah at the ELM. The respective (from the left) Muftis Noman, Bilal, Ibrahim, Barakatullah and Mufti Zubayr of Bradford all seem to be enjoying the show; the Esteemed Mufti Bilal from South Africa in the second row tries to cover his countenance, in vain of course.

One of many rushed breakfasts in the food hall, and yes, that'll be from both sides of the ocean.

Mufti Muhammad ibn Adam al-Kawthari shows how to chill out - Leicester style. By the way all you Pakistan lot, those gifts you got were all purchased by Mufti Muhammad so blame him...

Shaykh Haytham Tamim's turn in the hot seat; and a very hot one it was too!
"Hey Mufti Saab! Pass us the Honey!"
Osama Saeed from
Rolled Up Trousers fame attending the 4 day parallel professional's course; he's much better looking in real life by the way...
"So if I hold the book like this and pretend I'm reading like this, d'ya reckon I'll lose the 'player' image?"
Last and most certainly least, it's none other than the Esteemed and
Samahat'l-Mustafti Abu Eesa. As for all those who doubted my MSN picture, is this proof enough..?
