You know, I was just about to write about how nice it was to see a return for our full-strength pace attack, how this was the team that has the best chance for the World Cup since ages, that minus Afridi for Kaneria it is our best Test team, that Inzamam is the Izzat Master, that Woolmer deserves every penny in his job plus some, that...until the Eye went and published this...

...and I thought, "Hmm. Maybe not."
But just for the record, I know there seem to be a few similarities between myself and the list, but I must contest one difference: I love the Jews.
Yep. I love the Jews.
Orange Juice, Pineapple Juice, Apple Juice, Grapefruit Juice...
(Yeah yeah, it's an old one I know I know.)

No AE, in your case it should read, 'How to spot a home-grown AE; twelve tell-tale signs':
1. Very very lovely ladka
2. Pretends he knows how to play cricket

4. Does not keep himself to himself
5. Has a trendy skin head and a long beard
6. Wears clothes
7. Does pharmacy degree
8. Visits Balauchistan for a long holiday
9. Compulsive blogger
10. Really loves Jews, yes really really loves Jews
11. Turns heads when he walks
12. Obvious aloo paratha
...lol...:-D
On an serious note, it is very sad to see such a negative stereotypical image portrayed of the Muslim male living in Britain.

Molana Tariq Jameel is in Manchester tommorrow at Musjid Noor, Old Trafford after Magrib. Be there early
just a short question really.
up until now i have always thought that the 15th shabaan was of greater religious significance in the month of shabaan.it is a day one should fast and try to carry out more nafl acts of ibaadat.
recently though a few friends have told me that the focus on the 15th of shabban is an innovation, this night is like the other nights of shabaan and should be treated like the other nights- special and as preparation for the month of ramadhan.i am unsure as to the correct stance on this and
clarification on this matter would be greatly appeciated, jazakallah.
Wa 'alaykum salam
- The 'Eye' being the Private Eye.
- I hope someone posts a review of Maulana Tariq Jameel's talk. Please let us know...
- There is no straight and simple answer to your question due to the Imams and senior scholars having always differed over the issue, not least for the fact that the ahadith on the issue are much disputed such as in the narration collected by ibn Hibbân that the Prophet (s) said:
"Allâh looks to His creation on the middle night of Sha'bân and forgives all of His creation, except for the one who ascribes partners to Him and the one who holds malice against others."
I follow the opinion that the collective weakness of these narrations is unacceptable to act by it and Allah knows best. I believe you should ask your teacher their position and stick to that, and Allah knows best.
Man On man, Mashallah that was a funny joke!
I hear in a week or so the Maulana Tariq Jameel talk will be out on audio from masjid e noor....
For those that missed it.
